The sound work «OP.56» comprise of ten unique, dubbed cassettes, all mixing vocals with synths and samples. The work is an excerpt from an ongoing opera production by Runhild Hundeide, and is published by Breton Cassette in collaboration with Saksumdal Tempel.
«OP.56» will be presented at CHART Book Fair, Copenhagen, August 26th-28th, and in the art bookstore B*stard at Oppland Arts Centre, Lillehammer, September 3rd, with a panel conversation followed by a listening event.
Runhild Hundeide lives and works in Oslo. She is educated at the National Academy of the Arts, Oslo, and participated at Mountain School of Arts, Los Angeles. Recent exhibitions and projects include Saksumdal Tempel, Lillehammer; Caravan, Oslo; Rogaland Kunstsenter, Stavanger; Podium, Oslo; «Inertia», Oslo/Stavanger and «September Dialogue», Oslo/Stavanger.
Breton Cassette publishes cross-genre sound projects and conveys a wide range of expressions and projects. Breton Cassette collaborates with artists who work with music and sound separately or as an inclusive part of their visual arts project. Breton Cassette is an artist-driven initiative, which was started in 2019. It is located in Oslo and is founded and run by Pernille Meidell.
Sakumdal Tempel is an artist run space for presentation and production of contemporary art, that also offers accommodation for artists. The project is situated in Saksumdal, Lillehammer and is co-founded and run by Siri Leira and Tarald Wassvik.
The independent art bookstore B*stard is a niche bookstore for artists’ books, focusing on the intersect of visual arts and literature. With more than 600 titles produced by artists and small publishers, both physically at Oppland Arts Centre and in the web store, B*stard is one of the largest initiatives of its kind in Norway.
«OP.56» has received funding from Innlandet County Municipality and the Arts Council Norway.

Lydverket «OP.56» består av ti unike, overspilte kassetter, hvor lydsporet er synthesizere, vokal og lydopptak. Verket er et utdrag fra Runhild Hundeides pågående operaproduksjon, og utgis på Breton Cassette i samarbeid med Saksumdal Tempel.
«OP.56» presenteres på CHART Book Fair, København, 26.-28. august, og i Kunstbokhandelen B*stard på Oppland Kunstsenter den 3. september, der det inviteres til en samtale om utgivelsen og gjennomlytting av verket for publikum.
Runhild Hundeide bor og arbeider i Oslo. Hun er utdannet ved Kunstakademiet, Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo, og har deltatt på Mountain School of Arts, Los Angeles. Nylige utstillinger og prosjekter inkluderer Saksumdal Tempel, Lillehammer; Caravan, Oslo; Rogaland Kunstsenter, Stavanger; Podium, Oslo; «Inertia», Oslo/Stavanger og «September Dialogue», Oslo/Stavanger.
Breton Cassette publiserer sjangeroverskridende lydprosjekter på kassett, og skal ivareta og formidle et bredt spekter av uttrykk og prosjekter. Breton Cassette samarbeider med utøvere som arbeider med musikk og lyd separat, eller som en inkluderende del av deres billedkunstprosjekt. Kassettutgivelsen og det fysiske tilbehøret gjenspeiler utøvernes auditive og visuelle interesser, og fungerer som et parergon for disse. Breton Cassette er et kunstnerdrevet initiativ, som ble startet i 2019. Det holder til i Oslo og er grunnlagt og drives av Pernille Meidell.
Saksumdal Tempel er et visningsrom og produksjonssted for samtidskunst, som også tilbyr arbeidsopphold for kunstnere. Prosjektet er lokalisert i Saksumdal, Lillehammer, og drives av Siri Leira og Tarald Wassvik.
Kunstbokhandelen B*stard er en spesialbokhandel for kunstbøker, som fokuserer på skjæringspunktet mellom visuell kunst og litteratur. Her finnes kunstbøker og publikasjoner som produseres av kunstnere og små forlag innen billedkunst- og litteraturfeltet. Med over 600 titler til salgs, både fysisk i bokhandelen på Oppland Kunstsenter og via nettbokhandelen, er den et av de største utsalgsstedene for denne typen publikasjoner i nasjonal sammenheng.
«OP.56» har mottatt tilskudd fra Innlandet fylkeskommune og Kulturrådet.
